Crew Mechanics

Crew vs Faction

The mechanics of the game dictate that crews may not grow larger than 12 members. Because of this, Fellowship of Believers (the faction) has to be split into multiple crews. Which crew you are in is inconsequential, as your loyalty is to the faction as a whole. Members will treat other faction members outside their crew the same as those inside their crew. Specifically we suggest 1) use Faction chat and not Crew Chat and 2) Add all members to your buddy list and dont go by the crew list (ability to do this automatically from the site is forthcoming).

New Crews

From time to time, when FoB grows, we will need to form new crews. The decision of when to do so will be made by the faction leader, usually when each current crew has 10 members. The captain of the new crew, along with the new crew name will be picked by the Faction leader in consulting with the other members and crew leaders. This new crew leader may pick their own First Mate. If you want to become a captain, prove yourself to the faction through your leadership abilities, mission organization abilities, and most important your ability to be hospitable to other members, especially new ones.

New Members

No FoB member may add a player to their crew unless that player has been officially accepted to the FoB (and is listed on the members site). You will be alerted via email when new members join the FoB. Once this email is sent out, Any current member is authorized to add that new member to their crew. It is the duty of every member to also check their crew list at the beginning of each gaming session to ensure that no one has added a player to the crew that is not listed as accepted on the website. If this occurs, please notify the crew Captain or First Mate (if online) or the Faction Leader (in game or via email) if a member is on their crew list but not on the members site.

Crew Autobalance

It is the duty of the members to attempt to autobalance the crew sizes whenever possible. If you are on, and other crews within the faction are represented, please ask via faction chat how many people are in their crew. If there are more than 2 difference, please make the attempt to balance crew sizes. The reason for this is to allow any crew that is represented online to always have spots open to welcome a new member (The situation whereby a new member logs on and the only faction members online are in a full crew is not desireable). Since which crew you are in within the faction is immaterial, you should not have an issue with swapping crews.

Section 6: Summary

"'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?' Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.'"

Matthew 22:36-40 (NKJV)
